I usually start planning my next school year a couple of months after I begin my current school year. But because I start so early I often find that there are small gaps. Because I approach school in a fairly laid back way I end up looking for ways to add variety or interest in less expensive, short term ways. Educents has been a great resource where this is concerned.
I do want to give a disclaimer on my behalf. I am a big believer in consistency in the areas where my students need extra practice and review. I simply take an interest based approach when choosing what we will be learning. What this means is, I find out what most interests my children and build our school year from there. Since Educents has such a wide variety of products I can find things that I know will be of more interest to my children instead of always weighing them down with textbooks… Especially, my youngest child. Below you will find some of Educents most popular items. Some of them come with customer reviews which can be very helpful. From math to music they have something for just about everything. Plus they have a code at the end of the post that gives you a code for free shipping. And who doesn’t like FREE SHIPPING!
Ultimate K-12 Homeschool Package – “I purchased Kindergarten math and language arts for my daughter and we have had a great experience with it. She is learning so much. For language arts we read the stories on the screen and I print out the worksheets for her to fill-in on her own. She looks forward to her “school time” and always asks to do more than one lesson at a time. I plan on buying the science for my 3rd and 7th graders next.” -Educents customer
Life of Fred Elementary Math – Get free shipping with code SHIP4FREE* “At my wits end, I purchased this product hoping that it would engage my daughter in a way that other programs had not. I wanted her to see that math can be enjoyable and is used in so many interesting ways. We read Apples for the first time yesterday and this morning she begged me to “read the Math Story again! I want to do that!” I wished silently to myself that I had known about this wonderful book series sooner.” -Andrea M. Apple Addition Scavenger Hunt Freebie
