Coming from a large family (we have 11 people living under our roof) it is pretty much impossible to not sense the excitement surrounding the holidays.
One of the fun things about homeschooling is being able to spend extra time creating decorations and gifts or baking tasty goodies throughout the day because you are home. Last year each of my children did a report on Christmas traditions and stories from other countries. It was a great way to change things up a bit but still keep our English and research skills honed. We like to take breaks from school for making gifts and such but in those in between times when we don’t have a project sometimes the kiddos get bored and being able to hand them a holiday worksheet or project can help beat that boredom.
Extending learning opportunities by making it fun this Holiday season has just become easier. Once again the good people at Educents have gotten together some holiday themed resources to make learning fun. And as you might come to expect some of this goodness is FREE. Go check them out!
